How can I design a portable light source for home use?

This lamp combines the versatility of a battery powered light with the attractive features of a plug in light. It offers a compact yet strong light source that features a double shade for maximum glare reduction. Ideal for use as a bedside lamp or accent light in the home.

This prototype was designed in Rhino 3D and 3D printed. The ideal manufacturing technique for this lamp would be injection molding, to keep the lighweight properties while giving a more polished look than the 3D printed prototype.
